Plain-language disclosure
The LocWiz app is free. Provider accounts, subscriptions, usage limits, and usage-based charges are separate.
LocWiz keeps projects, imported resource copies, job records, reports, and chat history on this Windows account until you delete them. Uninstalling the app keeps this data.
When you use Codex or Claude, LocWiz sends the current conversation, the files you attach or select for the operation, required localization context, and a bounded summary of your LocWiz projects to that provider CLI under the account and terms you configured.
LocWiz does not ask for, manage, or persist provider passwords, API keys, or account details.
LocWiz has no product telemetry, advertising tracker, cloud storage, or direct model-provider API integration.
LocWiz 0.1 does not check for, download, or install app updates automatically. Download each setup manually from https://locwiz.com.
To remove all LocWiz data, close the app and delete %APPDATA%\LocWiz. Provider CLI data, credentials, external source files, and translated outputs are separate.

Original uploads and user-selected external outputs remain outside LocWiz app data and are not removed by project/history deletion or uninstall.
Provider processing
LocWiz starts the locally installed Codex or Claude CLI. Depending on the operation, the provider can receive the current chat, complete attached files, task-selected source/target content, row context, notes, locales, audience, project instructions, guidance, selected TM/TB evidence, QA findings, and a bounded project/resource/fix-run summary.
Authentication, network transport, provider-side retention/training controls, and billing belong to the selected CLI and account. Review the current Codex authentication boundary, OpenAI privacy policy, Claude Code data usage, and Anthropic privacy policy before using sensitive files.
Deletion, website, and contact
Close LocWiz before deleting %APPDATA%\LocWiz. The in-app Privacy, data & updates dialog opens this folder. Delete provider credentials/history, project-local .locwiz, user-local .locwiz, installed companion skills/backups, and external outputs separately.
Deletion is logical, not guaranteed forensic erasure; Windows backups, filesystem recovery, sync tools, provider-side records, and email-provider records are outside LocWiz control.
The website uses first-party static files and no LocWiz analytics or ad scripts. Hosting/CDN and network providers receive ordinary request metadata. Email sends the address, headers, and content chosen by the sender through the involved email providers.
